Dr. Kholod Moed-Abu Raya is a postdoctoral researcher at Technion, where she works with Prof. Zehavit Kohen’s team. Her research focuses on how exposure to mathematical modelling problems with varying degrees of openness affects students’ performance in both open and closed modelling tasks. Dr. Moed-Abu Raya holds a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree with Dean’s Honors, and a doctorate in mathematics education from the University of Haifa. Her doctoral dissertation, supervised by Dr. Shai Olsher, explored the impact of teachers’ interactions with learning analytics on their formative assessment practices in the classroom. Additionally, she is an experienced mathematics teacher, having taught grades 9–12 for 14 years across all levels.
