Prof. Nir Gavish ngavish@technion.ac.il
Nir Gavish is the program’s mathematical advisor. Nir is an associate professor of applied mathematics at the Technion’s Faculty of Mathematics. He specializes in and teaches the use of mathematics to solve real-life challenges, such as the spread of epidemics. In particular, he uses a collection of tools, such as mathematical modeling, spatial analysis, and various computing tools to solve problems related to chemical physics, materials science, nonlinear optics, and tender theory. Furthermore, he used this toolbox to mathematically model policy management during COVID-19.
Yuval Sharon
Yuval Sharon served as the program ‘s technology consultant. He works as a math teacher and math coordinator in middle and high school. Yuval has extensive experience as an algorithm developer, team and project manager at Mobileye, where he developed a system for autonomous control of vehicle high lights, calibration algorithms and management of large projects with leading car manufacturers. Yuval holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mathematics and a teaching certificate from the Hebrew University. He is currently a graduate student in musicology at the Hebrew University.
Dr. Irit Talmor
Dr. Irit Talmor served as a fellow in the development team of the i-MAT program. She is a senior lecturer at the School of Management of the Western Galilee College, in the fields of operations research and logistics, and a consultant to companies and organizations in these fields. She was a senior researcher at the Center for Military Studies at Rafael. Irit holds four degrees from the Technion – a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics teaching, both with commendable honors. Master’s degree in operations research and systems analysis, and PhD in transportation engineering track of the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
Dr. David Feilchenfeld
Dr. Feilchenfeld is a consultant to the program, teaches at David Yellin College, and is a partner in the development of the tasks “Defensive Wall”, “YouTube”, “Doppler” and “Mobileye”.

Ruti holds a BA in statistics, an MA in Information and Knowledge Management from the University of Haifa, and a teaching certificate in mathematics from the Technion. She works as a seventh grade educator and mentor in the field of entrepreneurship – Open Valley.
