Haya Abu Salah is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology, co-supervised by Prof. Zehavit Kohen and Prof. Miri Barak. Her doctoral research explores how experts and undergraduate students conceptualize the Nature of Mathematics (NOM) in higher education within the context of integrating generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a Teaching Certificate from Gordon Academic College of Education, as well as a master’s degree in mathematics education (thesis track) from the University of Haifa. Haya is currently a Lecturer in Mathematics at Tel-Hai University, where she teaches a variety of foundational mathematics courses in the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Computer Science. Her teaching includes Calculus I and mathematics courses in pre-academic preparatory programs for students in Computer Science, Life Sciences, and other science disciplines.
