i-MAT Program
The i-MAT (Integrated Math & Technology) program began in 2020, and is funded by the Trump Foundation. The program deals with the research, development and implementation of mathematical modelling tasks in a scientific engineering context. Its missions are widely implemented in many Israeli schools by hundreds of teachers and thousands of students.
i-MAT Tasks
i-MAT tasks provide authentic challenges in scientific-engineering contexts and are designed to support mathematical modelling in middle school (especially grades 8 and 9). In these tasks, students have the opportunity to apply mathematical solutions to problems that simulate the day-to-day activities of an engineer in the workplace.
Assessment Tools
A number of evaluation tools were developed to evaluate i-MAT tasks and to measure the competencies associated with teaching and learning mathematical modelling.

Professional Development for Teachers
