Lecture at a conference of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities

Prof. Zehavit Kohen presented at the Israel Academy of Sciences and Sciences’ symposium, which dealt with persistence in excellence tracks, a lecture on the subject: Enhancing SEL skills in an engineering research project with a contribution to society. As part of the lecture, she presented a study conducted in collaboration with Dr. Inbal Kolushi-Minsker, which deals with the empowerment of social-emotional skills (SEL) through engineering research projects in STEM. The study highlights how meaningful learning, which connects science, engineering, and real-world challenges, not only contributes to the development of knowledge and skills, but also strengthens students’ sense of meaning, engagement, and perseverance.
