The Mathematical Modelling Conference in the eyes of international tests: PISA and TIMSS was held on January 25 2026 at the Technion. Researchers, educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers discussed the role of mathematical modelling in shaping policy and aligning Israel’s math education with international standards. The updated middle school math curriculum was launched, innovative research and practices were presented, and it was emphasized that real change comes from genuine collaboration between research, policy, and teaching.
