Accessibility Statement
The Technion places great importance on the accessibility of its websites and invests considerable resources to achieve this goal. The websites number in the hundreds and are managed by different entities. This document is attached to accessible websites or multi-site systems, so websites containing a link to this statement should be accessible, excluding personal websites of academic and research faculty members who are exempt by law from accessibility and are only obligated to accessibility upon demand.
Around 20% of the population in Israel have disabilities of varying degrees, requiring assistance with accessibility in general and specifically for web browsing. Disabilities may include visual, auditory, cognitive, and motoric impairments, or weakened functional abilities resulting from a permanent or temporary limitation.
